Built for Square for Franchises
One mobile app for the whole franchise. Every franchisee keeps its own Square.
Ordare gives a franchise one branded iOS and Android ordering app across every location. Headquarters builds the menu, runs the promotions, and designs the home screen once. Each franchisee connects its own Square account, keeps the catalog Square for Franchises already manages, and gets paid straight into its own bank, the way a franchise on Square is meant to work.
$149/mo plus ~50¢ per order, paid by the guest · No per-location fees · No franchisee seats

The division of labor
What headquarters runs · what each franchisee keeps
A franchise mobile app only works if the line between the brand and the store is drawn where your agreement draws it. Here is where Ordare puts it.
Headquarters
- Branded mobile app
- Owns the app: the name, the colors, the home screen, and the app settings
- Menu
- Builds it once, with a shared brand photo library, and publishes it to every franchisee
- Square catalog
- Manages catalogs the way it already does in Square for Franchises
- Orders
- Sees every order across the brand in one roll-up
- Payments
- Sets the default service-fee split for the brand
- Promotions
- Publishes brand-wide specials and decides who may create them
- Push notifications
- Sends campaigns and announcements to the whole brand at once
- Loyalty and gift cards
- Brand-wide loyalty is not offered yet
- Billing
- Pays one $149/month for the whole brand, if it chooses to; guests cover the ~50¢ per-order fee
Each franchisee
- Branded mobile app
- Appears as a location in the brand app the day it joins
- Menu
- Receives a linked copy, and keeps local prices and availability unless the menu is locked
- Square catalog
- Connects its own Square; Ordare matches the published menu to what is already there
- Orders
- Every order lands in its own Square POS, kitchen display, and printers
- Payments
- Paid straight into its own Square account, at its own rates
- Promotions
- Runs the brand specials, its own if allowed, and can opt out of one when you permit it
- Push notifications
- Guests get live order-status pushes from the store they ordered from
- Loyalty and gift cards
- Runs per franchisee, matching how Square Loyalty and Square gift cards work per account
- Billing
- Otherwise pays its own $149/month plus the ~50¢ per order its guests cover, like any Ordare business
Works with your Square POS
Built for how Square for Franchises works
Square for Franchises keeps every franchisee on its own Square account and lets the brand manage catalogs centrally. Ordare was built around that shape rather than fighting it.
Each franchisee keeps its own Square account
Their payouts, their hardware, their staff logins, their processing rates. Ordare connects to each franchisee’s Square separately and never asks anyone to move a thing.
The catalog stays with Square for Franchises
When a franchisee connects, Ordare matches your published menu to the items already in their Square by name. Pushing changes back into their catalog is off by default, so Square stays the source of truth for what is on the register.
Orders land like any other ticket
A mobile order at the Oakland store lands in Oakland’s Square, on Oakland’s kitchen display, and prints at Oakland’s printers. Staff work the way they always have; the app just brings more tickets.
One app lists every store
Guests open your app, pick the location they are near, and order. A new franchisee shows up in the app the day it joins, with no app update and nothing for the store to build.
Square and Square for Franchises are trademarks of Block, Inc. Ordare isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Square; it works with the Square accounts a franchise already runs.
Onboarding
Bringing a franchisee aboard
Three steps, most of them on the franchisee’s side, none of them a project for headquarters.
Step 1
Send the invitation
From the headquarters console, invite a franchisee by email or link. They create their own Ordare login under your brand, with their own reporting and, if that is how you have set it up, their own bill.
Step 2
They connect their Square
The franchisee connects its own Square account. Ordare matches your published menu to the catalog already there, suggests the near-matches for a quick yes, and leaves everything else alone.
Step 3
They are live in the brand app
Their location appears in your app. Orders flow into their Square, payments land in their account, and headquarters watches the numbers roll up.
Brand controls
The controls that make a franchise a franchise
Every brand draws the line between headquarters and franchisee a little differently. Ordare’s franchise settings let you draw it exactly where your agreement does, and move it as the brand grows.
- Lock the menu, or let stores adjust it Locked, every store follows headquarters to the cent. Unlocked, franchisees keep their own local prices and availability on the menu you publish.
- Choose who runs promotions Headquarters only, franchisees only, or both, and whether a store may opt out of a brand-wide special.
- Set the fee split once Headquarters sets the brand default for the per-order service fee and decides whether franchisees may change it.
- See the whole brand, step into any store A franchisee directory with sales rolled up across the brand, and the ability to act as any franchisee to help with setup or support.

Simple, honest pricing
One bill for the brand, or one per franchisee
Same $149/month plus ~50¢ per order as every Ordare business. The only question is who pays the subscription, and you can change the answer any time.
Option one
Headquarters covers everyone
plus ~50¢ per order, paid by the guest at checkout
One subscription from headquarters, and every franchisee is in the app. No seats, no per-location fees, however many stores you add.
Option two
Each franchisee pays its own
plus ~50¢ per order, paid by the guest at checkout
Franchisees carry their own subscription, like any Ordare business. Headquarters still owns and runs the app; a franchisee that has not subscribed yet simply is not served yet.
Switch between the two whenever you like. A change takes effect at the next billing cycle, franchisees are notified, and nobody is charged mid-period. Every store carries the same ~50¢ per-order service fee, paid by the guest at checkout, never by headquarters or the franchisee.
